In 1894, Célestin Linder, textile engineer of Swiss nationality, emigrates to France and is employed as technical manager in a weaving factory in Violay, a mountain village to the west of Lyon. A few years later he starts his own company, Linder. The following generations will remain faithful to their textile heritage and their geographical setting. The Linder dynasty has spanned more than a century thanks to René, André, Jacques and Pierre Linder. The fourth generation, led today by Patrick Linder, president of the group, ensures the future of the centenarian firm. |
